Rolls-Royce Enthusiast Club Annual Rally 2017

P & A Wood attended the RREC Annual Rally from 23rd to 25th June 2017. We had good weather and great cars this year as a Bentley 3.5 Litre recently restored by P & A Wood took the top prize.

All of the P & A Wood restored or maintained cars that entered won prizes in what was one of the company's most successful shows. Here is a list of cars entered and the prizes won:

Bentley 3.5 Litre Park Ward DHC with disappearing hood - 1st in Class & Best of Show
Bentley S2 Continental Fastback LHD by H.J.Mulliner - 1st in Class
Rolls-Royce Wraith by P & A Wood - 1st in Class
Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Doctors Coupé - 1st in Class
Bentley S1 Continental 2-Door Coupé by James Young - 2nd in Class & Elegance
Rolls-Royce Phantom - 2nd in Class
Rolls-Royce Wraith - Elegance
Bentley S2 Continental 2-Door Coupé - Long term restoration prize

P & A Wood also had an impressive stand this year not only with the original Silver Ghost AX201 and the Roll-Royce 10HP SU13, which we are very proud to be entrusted with thanks to Bentley Motors. We also had the Rolls-Royce Phantom III once belonging to Field Marshall Montgomery on display thanks to Mr & Mrs Robet and our recently completed with bespoke Rolls-Royce Phantom EWB 'GainesWood II' on display thanks to the owner, Mr Gaines-Cooper.

Alongside the beautiful display cars on the stand was a Rolls-Royce Hawk Aero Engine which has been restored by our team of Apprentices here at P & A Wood. The Accessory Shop was set-up and went down very well along with a selection of cars for sale from the latest 2017 Rolls-Royce Dawn and Wraith to a 1912 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost London to Edinburgh.

The entire event was a huge success and we were delighted to talk with a number of people over the weekend, some old friends and some new.

Well done to the RREC team for another wonderful event.
