Goodwood Revival 2016

The Goodwood Revival is quickly becoming one of the P & A Wood team’s favourite events of the year and we were not disappointed this year.

We took more cars than ever before with them taking part in all different aspects of the event.

We had two cars in March Motor Works ‘Chauffeur School’, a 1923 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Springfield and a 1967 Rolls-Royce Phantom V by James Young which were used to explain to people all weekend about the etiquette of chauffeuring in a Rolls-Royce.

As usual, we supplied the course car and driver for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars to enable them to treat their hospitality guests to a ride our in between races, which always goes down well. The car was a 1954 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn Drophead Coupé by Park Ward and due to the wonderful weather on the Friday and Sunday spent most of its weekend with the roof down.

Several cars and drivers were provided by P & A Wood to chauffeur Lord March’s guests in and out of the event. Our team thoroughly enjoy this experience meeting so many interesting guests and spending the weekend driving these wonderful post-war Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars.

Finally, P & A Wood had a stand showcasing some of our current vehicles for sale looked after by members of the team who had a wonderful weekend meeting customers and new faces. Taking centre stage on the stand this year were two Rolls-Royce Silver Ghosts, one 1914 London to Edinburgh currently for sale and in wonderful condition, ready to use and enjoy. The other, a 1919 rolling chassis undergoing a total restoration with us here at P & A Wood. These two cars, along with the other 6 on display were heavily admired throughout the three day event.

We would like to thank all of our customers, those who allowed us to take their wonderful motor cars as well as those who were able to visit over the weekend and all of our staff, without whom major events like this wouldn’t be possible. Thank you for your support.

We are already excited about next year!
